The third day...
'When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. Very early on the first day of the week, when the sun had risen, they went to the tomb. And they were saying to one another, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?" And looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back - it was very large. And entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, dressed in a white robe, and the were alarmed. And he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen, he is not here.'"

ok... so i know that the picture is not of either of the two Marys mentioned in this part of the story.... BUT it is a Mary at sunrise... does that count?
how long did u have to get her to stay still?
I think it works well. Just because Mary the mother of Jesus isn't mentioned in the resurrection passage doesn't mean she wasn't there - maybe standing at distance?
Would you consider making a category in your photo archives for liturgical photos, particularly connected to the key events in the Christian calendar? It would be interesting to do something creative for Pentecost.
Joel - it was harder than you would think!
Cosmo - hmmm.... I have never thought about that. So far all religious pics have been going into the 'other' category... I might have to change that. Thanks for the suggestion.
