what does eire mean?
GREAT pic!!!I could answer the previous commentor's question, but I'll leave that to the blog owner. :o)
Thanks for the comments! Éire is the Irish Gaelic name for Ireland. In fact... it is the official name of the Republic. It comes from the name of an ancient Celtic goddess - Ériu. She was a mythical figure who helped the Gaels conquer Ireland.
