Happy Thanksgiving...

Wow… it is thanksgiving time already? To be honest with you… today does not feel like thanksgiving at all. It has been a pretty normal day here. No… no turkey. We did have a nice meal out at our local coffee shop tonight. I did, however, get to tell the thanksgiving story to a group of kids in our local library today. We volunteer there every Thursday for a children’s story hour. It isn’t anything really complicated… just a few stories… a song or two… and a craft. Today we made Indian headdresses. The kids had a lot of fun and many of the parents said that they had no idea about Thanksgiving. Other than that…. It has been a really normal day. Ah but don’t feel sorry for us… We are going to celebrate. We are just waiting until the weekend so that our neighbors will be off from work. We are having a few neighbor friends over for a meal. Dee’s first turkey….. and I really think that it is going to be fun to celebrate it here with our new friends… we truly have a lot to be thankful for.
