Knocked Out

Well.... It happened last night.... I attended my first ever badminton tournament. You might remember that I joined a local badminton club last fall just to meet people and to have a good laugh... Well, I thought the whole tournament thing was a good bit of craic (fun), but I was a little surprised at how serious most people were taking it. I gave it my all, but alas I - along with my partner Mary - were knocked out of the competition on the very first round. That is ok... I had a great time with new friends... A good couple of games... A commemorative key chain for participating... And I even get to keep my official team jersey. Like I said it was a lot of fun, and I am really glad to have the chance to do something a little bit different (that I normally would not do) each week... And hey... There is always next year.
